about mourningsmith.

The Company:

mourningsmith was born in 2023 out of a desire to create jewelry that’s affordable, well-crafted, and unapologetically original. This is a woman-owned brand built on the belief that jewelry is for everyone—every gender, everybody, every background. mourningsmith exists to tear down the outdated idea that jewelry has rules. Wear it young, wear it old, wear it whenever the hell you want. These pieces are meant to live with you, die with you, and maybe even be buried with you.

Your body. Your jewelry. Your choice.

The Silversmith:

Abigail (she/her/ella) is a Midwest Goth with a heart that beats for all things black, broken, and buried in the ground (stones). She’s drawn to what creeps, what crawls, and what can't be explained. She enjoys nature from inside and looking through the glass, unless it involves a cemetery or stone mining. She began silversmithing in 2022, when a fellow coffee lover and seasoned jeweler—45 years deep in the craft—offered to pass down his hard-earned knowledge. What started as an escape from a difficult reality led her away from a soul-rotting corporate job, passed through the quiet grind of nonprofit work, and finally landed where she was meant to be: at the bench, torch in hand, forging beauty from fire and metal.
